  1. The module sends a long line of continuous letter / sequence SMS message to the SMS forwarding featured phone number. What is the reason for this?

    This phenomenon happens when you do not receive a regular SMS (text) to the phone module, but some kind of a multimedia message (MMS photo) or some other encoded message (for example, encoded Cyrillic letters with accents or other capitalization). An industrial phone module is not able to handle this, that's why the mentioned letters/sequences are converted into Unicode form and are forwarded to your phone (depending on the size of the message 1 MMS can be received in 3 or 4 SMSs). Please note that in this case there is no problem with the device itself, but this phenomenon is caused by the above-described reason. If this occurs regularly, there is a good chance that it is an advertising / marketing message sent by the service provider, which can only be stopped by either asking the service-provider not to send such messages to this given phone number or by turning off the message forwarding function (in the settings: delete the SMS forwarding phone number), if this function is not absolutely necessary.

  2. The module does not record the event into the event log. The event log is empty.

    The module's internal clock is not set, so you can not assign dates to events.

    The module's internal clock is mainly set by the GSM network automatically. If this does not work, or the current GSM net does not support this option, then the module will send an SMS to itself, and with this it is also able to set its internal clock. For this, it is needed to specify the SIM’ s card phone number in the “Module’s own number” field. In this case, the module will send an SMS to set the clock, and it will ignore the time setting, sent by the GSM operator.


    It is also possible to manually set the module's internal clock with an SMS. For this, you need to send a SMS to the module phone number with this message: #dt.

  3. After installing the programmer software there is an error message saying that the DLL file is missing and it can not start.

    Some operating systems create a missing DLL file after connecting to the module. Connect the module through a USB to the computer, and after this start the programming software again.

  4. It is not possible to read or upload the setting to the device with the programming software. The connection does not get through, or sometimes the downloading stops.

    Please power up the module first, after that connect it to the computer.

  5. The GSM Adapter Mini does not send an SMS (text) in the case of an alarm. Why?

    Please check that by the User 1 and User 2 phone number there is listed a phone number that should be notified in case of an alarm. Check that by the list of the SMS text you gave the correct event codes. The alarm installer installation book includes the event codes. In the list, the event codes are in  4 hexadecimal digits each, where the first digit represents the new event ("1") and the restoration event ("3").


    When entering the event code with using the "*" you can also specify the event group, so when placing the "*’"in the code, any random hexadecimal digit is received from the control panel and the rest of the code is the same as the other element of the manufacturer, the event will be transmitted. When providing the ADEMCO-Express code you have to put two zero next to the code. For example: in the case of an alarm you have to put 0031 code into the GSM Adapter Mini programming software.

  6. Is it possible to turn off the SMS (text) sending option in the Compact GSM (I.) device?

    No. The module makes a GSM call or send an SMS (text) to each configured user number.

  7. The device is not connecting to the GPRS net. Why?

    Check the APN settings, the power supply and power requirements of the module, as well as the GSM antenna connection and signal strength.

  8. Despite the fact that I received the call, the device makes a recall. Why?

    Perhaps the machine is set that the call must be acknowledged. In this case, it will redial during the alarm time, until you acknowledge the alarm. You can do this by pushing the asterisk * button.

  9. The device does not activate the relay output on an incoming call. Why?

    The caller ID identification must be enabled on the inserted SIM by the GSM service provider. Without this, the device will be unable to identify the incoming call ID identification. Insert the SIM card (which is in the device) into a mobile phone; call the customer service of the GSM service and enable this service in the menu. Make sure you set the timing of the relay output (if the timing is 0, the relay will not activate).

  10. When the call is made from the device, the phone does not display the caller’s number. Why?

    You have to enable to send the caller ID of the inserted SIM card by the GSM provider. Put the SIM card into a mobile phone, and call the GSM provider customer service, in the menu, you will be able to enable that feature. (Even though the caller ID shows up when you make a call with a mobile phone, it will not show up when you use the device until you enable this feature through the GSM provider)

  11. Why can I not make a call or send an SMS (Text) from the device?

    If you have a SIM card that is prepaid, please check if you have the necessarily amount of money on it, to make a call or send an SMS (Text). Insert the SIM card into another mobile phone and try to make a call, send an SMS (Text), so you can check if there is a problem with the SIM card or the device. If the SIM card is working, please check the module power supply and power demand, and also the GSM antenna connection. Make sure that you adjusted the right number, and that you allowed it to make a call or send an SMS (Text) to this phone number.

  12. Why is the capacitive probe better than the flow measure and than the CAN bus system?

    The advantage for the capacitive probe is, that we can continuously monitor the actual contents of the tank.

    The flow measure can only measure the amount of fuel entering the engine, so you can only check the possible imposition from the tanking accounts and the consumption data.

  13. What does the capacitive probe mean?

    The capacitive probe is a tube capacitor, which linearly changes its capacitance when the fluid (gas) level changes inside.

  14. Is the easyTRACK device harmful to your health?

    It has the same effect on health, than any other mobile phone.

  15. If I am not using the vehicle, will the device not merge the battery?

    In the module, you can parameterize that how long should it take from turning off the ignition to battery saving mode. In this mode, the power consumption is a lot less.

  16. The LED is red on the device.

    The device cannot connect to the net. Please check the GSM signal, SIM card, and the antenna connection.
