New firmware and programming software version for Adapter2 has been released.

Firmware version: 8.2.0 (8323)

The firmware includes the following fixes:

Remote modem firmware updates (FOTA) could not be performed for Quectel EG91 modems
The @, {, _ characters in the SMS text were transmitted incorrectly
In versions equipped with the SIMCom A7682 modem, if the user removed the PIN-locked SIM card or the connection between the device and the SIM card was momentarily interrupted due to a contact error, the recorded PIN code was deleted. Therefore, after the error was resolved, the device could no longer restart.
Option for devices to connect to "SMS only" roaming network

The remoter includes the following fixes:

Remote firmware updates (FOTA) for the Quectel EG91 modem could not be performed, and it was not possible to exit the automatically popping up warning message
Correction of incorrect text that appeared during remote modem updates

The firmware includes the following bug fixes and developments:

Automatic APN determination in case of the SIMCOM A7682 modem
Preparation for FOTA capability for the SIMCOM A7682 modem
For transparent outgoing calls, if network congestion prevents a call from being initiated within 6 seconds, resulting in a failed attempt, this timeout period is extended to 20 seconds to accommodate for network delays.
SMS received from the service provider should not affect the device's startup process
Maintaining the sequence of calls according to the order set in the programming software

The programming software includes the following bug fixes and developments:

Introduction of FOTA updates for the SIMCOM A7682 modem
Transparent serial mode when connecting through the cloud
Error message received upon clicking the button to update the module registry list
Device firmware update through the cloud encounters an error

The firmware contains the following bug fixes and developments:

When the device initiated a call while a live data connection was in progress for a SIMCOM A7682 modem, the call often failed
The programming software's status update for mobile technology types (GSM - UTRAN) was experiencing slow updates
If the phone number was not displayed during an incoming call, in the case of a SIMCOM A7682 modem, the previous phone number was identified by the device
After the shutdown of 3G, devices equipped with Quectel UG95/UG96 modems did not connect to 2G network
When the phone number exceeded the ’usual’ length (13 digits), the sent SMS was not received by the customer because part of the phone number was missed

The programming software contains the following bug fixes and developments:

Changing the SIA encryption key password field type so that it cannot be read again after input
Changing the PIN code input field type so that it cannot be read again after input
